Management & Key Team Members
All projects are supervised by senior management, a project manager and an experienced on-site job superintendent. This team approach provides safety and controlled supervision and has proven popular with our many clients because there is always more than one person who can answer important questions. Our owners are assured that the company is fully involved in every facet of the management and construction process.

The principals and senior personnel of the company have more than 70 years of combined construction and construction management experience working with a number of local, national and international companies. The company has a national reputation with completed projects in numerous states outside of Georgia.

J. STEVE HOWELL, President
Steve Howell, a founder, has been the primary partner in MIDA CONSTRUCTION since May 1995. Active in the industry since 1980, Mr. Howell has been involved in the construction and construction management of over 1.7 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space worth 27.5 million dollars. He is a member of the Self Storage Association (SSA) and active in the NFIB. Mr. Howell majored in Business Administration and Finance at Louisiana State University. (More...)

JIM WOOD, Project Manager, Superintendent
Mr. Wood has been associated with MIDA CONSTRUCTION since 1996 and has been in the construction industry since 1975. He has extensive experience in ground-up projects, pre-engineered building construction and finish carpentry. Mr. Wood has successfully completed many large projects, including a $3.5 million development. He is responsible for the Mulberry Village project; past projects include Shurgard, The Goddard Schools and Damon's Ribs.

KATHY HOWELL, Vice President, Marketing & Sales
Ms. Howell is a seasoned business professional with over 16 years involvement with the construction industry along with 28 years in the software industry. She has been working directly with MIDA CONSTRUCTION since 2000 and is responsible for office operations, marketing and sales direction. An experienced sales and marketing professional, Ms. Howell has helped organizations launch new products, penetrate new markets and increase revenues. Her expertise covers a broad range of industry segments and technologies. As director of product management for MicroHelp, Inc., Ms. Howell was responsible for strategic and tactical business planning and implementation, PR, marketing communications, market research and business plan development. She was senior producer for SoftKey Intl and senior product manager for KnowledgeWare. Ms. Howell was also director of sales and marketing for a national company, owned a successful business, and played a key role in launching new products and companies. Ms. Howell majored in Physics and Marketing at Miami University.
